Her feelings towards Gutts in the beginning was bitter hatred. She would rather him die, but this is the fact the shows he dedication, because of Griffith?s absolute orders, she even protected Gutts, though she still argued with him. Caska also had a dream and that was to be, suffice it to say, by Griffith side, no matter what. However, this dream was tarnish by Griffith?s own selfish dream, that excluded her as a mere subject. Her feelings toward Gutts slowly change at a point in time. She can actually find love within him, something she was seeking from Griffith. Gutts gave it so easily. Her dream changed, to be with him, she moved on from Griffith. Because again Gutts was the deciding factor, the fate changer. A man that was never meant to be part of the equation. In this person, Caska found the missing part of her dream. A mate. Caska Is stubborn, head-strong woman, who keeps her emotions hidden. Gutts is the only one to hear her story and emotions. They both can speak freely to one another, yet in the same boat with Griffith and his Iron stance of clouded sentiment. Caska skills as a warrior, are unmatched in the band of the hawks, saved for two, Gutts and Griffith. Typically, he gets on people's nerves with his jokes; however, the anime has shown there are a few moments where people enjoyed his jokes. Yoh occasionally let off a light chuckle to them, and both Tamao and Pirka laugh hysterically (Pirka takes some time to understand the jokes, and Tamao had her spirits explain it to her before she cracks up). He falls in love with a cat that looks almost like him which he ends up giving to Hare (much to Hare's chagrin) and even disappears for a while when his chest hair growth goes out of control.
