Hello

To help people with darker skin tones find characters that they can cosplay as I decided to make a list.

Not saying that people with dark skin can't pull off dressing as Asian/white characters, just look at this vid:

It's just that sometimes you want to cosplay a character that fits you perfectly, whether it be because of their face, attitude, or skin color.

If you feel like the list is missing any names, please email me, hope4love92@yahoo.com

0-9

8-ball from the videogame series Grand Theft Auto. 8-Ball is a firearms and explosives specialist who appears in Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto Advance and owns three bomb shops throughout Liberty City. In Grand Theft Auto III, 8-Ball meets Claude shortly after the beginning of the storyline, when he and Claude escape together from a police convoy. As a token of his appreciation, 8-Ball introduces Claude to Luigi Goterelli, an old friend of his, for work. 8-Ball seems to be the closest thing Claude has to a friend throughout the game. This friendship later comes into question, when a car rigged to explode by 8-Ball is left for Claude to pick up. After this, 8-Ball is not seen for the rest of the game.

A

A-ou
from the anime Kiddy Grade. A-ou is Un-ou's teammate, and his ability is Amplifier, same as Un-ou. His ship is Salyut, he speaks in a deep meaningful way, and his eyes can see anything.

Afro from the anime Afro Samuari. Afro goes on a mission to avenge the wrongful death of his father in a futuristic feudal Japan.

Ahmed from the anime Gundam seed. Ahmed is a young member of the Desert Dawn resistance. He serves as driver and sidekick to the blond princess-in-disguise Cagalli, and develops a crush on her.

A.J from the cartoon Fairly Odd Parents. A.J also known as Alex Johnson is a smart kid who has bald hair and always gets an A on pop quizzes. Even though he's the total opposite of Timmy when it comes to smarts, he is still Timmy's best friend. Despite being Chester's best friend, he is his total opposite, being smart, rich and clever, as apposed to Chester being dumb, poor, and offbeat.

Akagi Takenori from the anime Slam Dunk. Akagi Takenori is the captain of the Shohoku basketball team and Haruko's older brother. Despite at first not thinking too much of Sakuragi (who addresses him as "Gori" for gorilla due to his immense physical presence), he actually realizes Sakuragi's potential as a basketball player. Serious and disciplined, Akagi's dream is to lead Shohoku to the national championship. His determination is shown in the match against Kainan, where he played on despite a serious injury to his ankle. Akagi considers Uozumi of Ryonan to be his biggest rival, though their rivalry is not antagonistic; indeed, there is respect that borders on friendship.

Akari Ichijou from the videogame series The Last Blade. Born and raised in Tokyo, she was constantly battling diseases on her own until she finally understood her true calling: teleportation. When her older sister Hikari succumbed to disease, Akari became very agitated. At that time, their father called for her. She restlessly sat before her grim-faced father, who was about to give her a lecture about Hell’s Gate. Akari found out that Hell’s Gate was causing trouble again, and flew out of the room, bent on finding the perfect cure for her sister’s disease on her own: sealing Hell’s Gate. Her father accused her of not listening to what he said, but she was already gone.

Aku Yamine from Vocaloid. Aku Yamine is a brown-skinned Miku with white hair. She wears a dark-purple gothic lolita-style outfit. She is also termed as an 'Anti-Vocaloid', like Neru.

Agni from the anime Black Butler. Agni is the servant of Prince Soma, whom he sees and worships as a god. Agni was once a nobleman named Arshad who used his powers and wealth for his own desires to the point that he was to be hanged for his crimes. Before he was to die, Prince Soma offered him a new life with the death of his old self. He is able to fight on par with Sebastian while using a fencing foil, a feat which briefly makes Ciel wonder if he is human until Sebastian confirms he is a human. The source of his martial prowess comes from his devotion to Prince Soma. Unlike Sebastian, however, he is able to see the good in the Phantomhive manor staff and assign the tasks where their skills will be of use. He is known as the "Right Hand of God" for his god-like skill at making curry. He betrays Prince Soma and became the chef for a curry contest for Lord West to prevent the prince from discovering Meena ran away from and hated the prince. Later, Agni reconciles with the prince. He is staying in the Phantomhive manor to learn to become a better servant from Sebastian's example, and even calls Sebastian his friend, something that surprises Sebastian as no one has ever referred to him as such before. Sebastian also takes Agni's advice on taking care of Ciel, much to the younger boys' annoyance.

Aion from the anime Chrono Crusade. The personality of Aion from the manga and Aion from the anime differ greatly from each other. In the manga, he doesn't care about his allies (the other four sinners that are working with him), while in the manga he does care, although he is still willing to sacrifice them if it gets him closer to his goal. In episode 16 of the anime, Aion sexually harasses Satella. In the manga, this has never occurred. Matter of fact, he didn't even meet Satella before he turned into his demonic form, after Chrono lost his mind since Rosette was hurt. Also, the kisses he gives to Rosettenever happened in the manga. Another change is that in the anime, Aion still lives even when Chrono slashes him in Central Park.

Aisha Clanclan from the anime Outlaw Star. Aisha Clanclan belongs to one of the noble houses of the Ctarl-Ctarl Empire. From a young age, she excelled in her classes...but the highest honor in Ctarl-Ctarl society is to go into space. Finally, Aisha won her place in space when she was promoted to the rank of Ambassador Plenipotentiary and given command of the Orta Honehone.

Akio Ohtori from the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena. Akio is the charming and attractive villain who seduces the heroine Utena. He controls the Rose Duels and the Ohtori Academy from behind the scenes. Ohtori is an exploitative character who manipulates others into serving his purposes. He also carries on a dominating, incestuous relationship with his sister Anthy. The character of Akio, despite its negative aspects, is still not wholly detestable - he did not have much of a choice when he went down the wrong path.

Akuma from the videogame Street Fighter. Akuma is a character with a wide array of techniques at his disposal. He has the same moves as Ryu and Ken, only in a more balanced and damaging way; however, his life is lower than either Ryu or Ken. He also has many other moves, but in most games, his attacks in his regular form have been toned down, in exchange for more stamina. Shin Akuma uses the same techniques to their full extent, but to compensate, has very low life.

Al-Cid Margrace from the videgame series Final Fantasy. Al is a recurring character in the Ivalice Alliance. A member of the ruling family of Rozarria, he is a romantic man with a heavy Spanish accent. However, behind his romantic gestures is a man well aware of the world and its workings. Al-Cid is a gentleman of fortune who has no tolerance for those who intend to harm women. Although he is likened to a prince in Grimoire of the Rift, he is quick to state that he is but one of many, perhaps suggesting that he is not in direct line to the throne but rather a younger sibling or cousin to the true heir.

Alexander Anderson, Paladin from the anime Hellsing. Paladin Alexander Anderson was sent by the Iscariot Organization to eliminate the vampires in England. His first trip there, he encounters Alucard and sworn him his rival. He hates both vampires and Hellsing, and doesn't seem to mind killing Hellsing members as well as vampires.

Almalexia from the videogame Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Almalexia is one of the two sun gods in the game.

Amalla Su from the anime Love Hina. Amalla Su is Kaolla Su's older sister. She has long white hair, blue eyes, and wears an outfit resembling that of a Indian/Arabian princess. Both she and her sister are magical girls, and both are members of the royal family of the kingdom of Molmol. Amalla has been in love with cousin Crown Prince Lamba Lu for a long time, but has never admitted her feelings to him. She speaks Japanese in an Edokko accent, and claims to be from the deserts of Edo (Edo is an old name for Tokyo, which of course has no deserts). In combat, she possesses two weapons: a magical flute that controls the weather, and her pet albino alligator Shiro. She is referenced in the manga and has several appearances in the anime.

Amaraka from the manga The Latter Swords God of Chronicles. He originated from India but came to Japan as a child. Together with Tsukitoshi, the other main character. he was apprenticed to the master sword smith Kaneyori. Kaneyori considered Amaraka the better disciple, and passed the name of Kaneyori to the foreigner. Kaneyori the Second (i.e. Amaraka), created the magic sword that would pass into the hands of later men, forming the link between the stories in the Latter Sword God Chronicles. Tsukitoshi, who is Japanese, gets a little more page time than Amaraka, but while the Sword God Chronicles could still happen without Tsukitoshi, Amaraka is indispensable to the narrative.

Anna Heart from the anime Kaleido star. Anna is also good friend of Sora's. She, like Mia, comes to accept Sora after the second episode. Anna is talented in many areas and frequently plays more serious parts. Anna truly wishes to perform comedy and usually tries to get Mia to write comedy into her parts. The request is almost always denied. Anna takes her love of comedy from her estranged father Jack, a stand-up comedian; when they meet each other after several years, though, Anna is perturbed by his bitterness, but with a push from Sora and Mia they part amiably. In season two she gets paired up with two girls that find her extremely funny and help her with her comedy acts for the shows. Anna is determined to make Ken her partner in comedy.

Anna Maht from the cartoon World of Quest. Anna Maht is asorceress in training, Quest's biggest fan. Nestor has a crush on her (even though she barely pays attention to him because of her fangirl attraction to Quest, yet later becomes a good friend to him). So far the only spell she is able to cast is to turn inanimate objects into living creatures. This is mostly useless but it has its advantages from time to time and even though it's not a power, she is the only one that can translate Way's riddles. In the episode "Fall of Odyssea" her worst memory is when she uses a spell to turn others into frogs, after they all act like frogs even in human form. In season 2 her magic is shown to be becoming much stronger to the point where she was able to best Deceit in a magical duel by giving her a hoping disease and is able to help in battle. She has a friend name Sweet who is a Tooth-Fairy in training, and like Anna is a fangirl of Quest

Angela St. Grace from the comic Codename: Knockout. Angela St. Grace is an operative for G.O.O.D. (Global Organization for the Obliteration of Dastardliness). Angela’s partner, Go Go Fiasco, is a handsome young gay man, which is a good thing since Angela spends most of the series either nude or in various stages of undress.

Angol Moa from the anime Sgt.Frog. To blend in with the Earth people, Moa transforms into a tanned, bleached-blonde teenager (kogal) who is always seen in a school uniform and loose socks. Her true form is a pale gray-haired girl who wears a purple, gold/yellow andwhite magical girl costume. Although the Lord of Terror, she is anything but terrifying. She's sweet, clumsy, and peppy but can be scary when she's in Angol form, and uses her Lucifer Spear to split Earth-like substances. She got her Earth look from when she first arrived in 1999 (2004 in the anime), before she met the Hinatas. In the manga, her father had encouraged her to see only herself as important as this frame of mind was needed to become an effective planet destroyer. Thus, she chose the form of a Japanese school girl she saw ending a friendship with another girl for her own benefit. In the anime, she chose the form of a girl who was fighting for her friends, thus becoming her "inspiration.

Angol Fear from the videogame Soulcalibur IV. Her weapon, named Lucifer Spear Black, is a spear with a large moon-shaped ball at the end of it.Like all of the bonus characters, Angol Fear's moveset is recycled from one of the main character's; she uses the same moveset as Seong Mi-na, yet despite this, she, like the other bonus characters, have their own style, leveling up on their own. What lies in her soul is Piety.

Anne/Papillion Lily from the anime Lingerie Senshi Papillion Rose. The girl who possesses the Summer Flower Orb, one of the Holy Flower Orbs. She is a soldier of love, possessing the spirit of the goddess Flora.

Antares from the manga Ghost in the shell 2. Antares is a very powerful Artificial Intelligence lifeform who wears a prosthetic body made in the image of a Middle Eastern woman. She is said to be the original Motoko Kusanagi of Ghost in the Shell 1.

Anthy Himemiya from the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena. A mysterious, shy girl whose vapid expression and superficial politeness mask a complex, darker persona. She is said to have no thoughts or desires besides that of what her master expect of her. Because of her "doormat" behavior, other characters tend to project their wants or desires onto her, and she's always the target of their eventual rage. Her past and current personality are simultaneously tragic and sinister, and her personality shifts between selfless love, passive-aggressive revenge, cruelty, and learned helplessness. Like Utena, Anthy also subverts and conforms to the stereotypes she embodies as both a damsel in distress and a witch.

Appledehi from the anime Cowboy Bebop. Appledelhi Siniz Hesap Lütfen (which means "excuse me, check please" in Turkish), is Ed's father. He is a cartographer on Earth (a questionable occupation on a planet which undergoes changes to its landscape daily due to asteroid impacts).

Arakune from the manga Angel Sanctuary. Arakune, with Kurai, is one of the few surviving members of the Gehanna royal family. He is actually her brother, but masquerades as her cousin. Arakune (Arachne) was born a man, but prefers to live as a woman. He sacrificed himself as the 999th 'bride' of Lucifer

Archer from the anime Fate/Stay Night. Archer is sarcastic and cynical. His hardened demeanor is assisted by a complex and dark personality which reveals rare occurrences of compassion and unfolds throughout the story. Though skilled with ranged weapons, he can hold his own in mêlée combat. He considers Shirō Emiya's idealism to be weak and delusional, recognizing Shirō's mentality of "wanting to save everyone" as naïve and impossible.

Arjuna from the anime Earth Girl Arjuna. Juna is a girl in the tenth grade, who is recognised by Chris to be the "Avatar of Time", to save the planet. Besides possessing powers due to her "Earth sympathy", she is an ordinary teenage girl. She has a difficult time understanding her purpose, and is unsure how she is supposed to help the planet. Her personal life is also distressed, both with her mother and sister, and especially in her uncertain relationship with Tokio, whose thoughts she cannot figure out, and who similarly never manages to understand her feelings. While she attempts to succeed in her job, she cannot understand the message Chris is trying to explain until the very end, when she realizes the meaning of "becoming one with the target" that she repeats from the beginning of the series.

Arshes Nei from the anime Bastard. A half human, half Dark Elf who was kept as a slave by the Wood Elves, Dark Schneider found her after she was abandoned by her tribe and took rare pity. She became both his daughter and his lover, being apparently similarly immortal (or at least long lived). She was his major confidant, and as such is aware of most of the same spells he is. To prove her loyalty to the Four Divine Kings in the manga, she let herself be cursed with the spell Accused by Abigail; in the anime, this compelled her to fight against Dark Schneider whilst her army marched on Meta-Rikana. In the middle of a magical showdown using Helloween, Lucien's spirit made Dark Schneider aware of what was driving his daughter to attack. DS was outraged and tore out his own heart to drive off the power of the Accused spell (later resurrecting himself). Arshes rejoins him at this point, and they destroy the advancing armies. She was the first Lord of Havoc to join Dark Schneider originally, and the second to rejoin.

Arvind Lavie from the anime Plantetes. Arvind Lavie (also spelled 'Ravi') works for the Space Debris Section of Technora Corporation. Arvind usually plays the role of clown and trickster, putting on a show for colleagues and freely lying to make himself or his team look good. He appears to be an opportunistic climber, but his motivation for seeking better compensation is his desire to better support his children.

Astroth from the videogame Soul Calibur. Astaroth is a golem created by a cult worshiping the Greek god of war Ares to locate a cursed sword named "Soul Edge". Though Astaroth has consistently pursued the sword, his character has changed as the series progresses, eventually transforming into a power hungering creature desiring to consume the sword. Regarded as an iconic character of the series, Astaroth has been noted as fitting a large character stereotype seen in fighting games, featuring strong attacks but slow speed. Astaroth has been described as having easy-to-master gameplay and being popular with fans of strong, hard-hitting characters in fighting games. However, these aspects have also been a source of criticism towards the character, with complaints that the character serves as a crutch used by less-skilled players of the games.

Asumi Kamogawa from the anime Twin Spica. The story's main character. After her mother died when she was young, she grew up with her father. She is the only one who can see Lion-san, whom she met soon after her mother's death. After meeting Lion-san, she becomes resourceful & determined to become an astronaut. Athena Glory
from the anime Aria. The third "Water Fairy", who works for Orange Planet and acts as Alice's mentor. She tends to be a total airhead who does not really pay attention to anything (in the anime, she once rowed under a bridge and forgot to duck), but genuinely cares about Alice. She was a trainee undine with Alicia and Akira, and often joined them in joint practice sessions much like Akari, Aika, and Alice do now. Athena has a beautiful singing voice, which she uses to entertain her customers and also to help Alice when she is in some kind of trouble. Athena has a strange laugh, it usually comes out sounding as though she is angry. She came to know Alicia and Akira when they were still trainee undine and practised together back then. She tends to be quiet most of the time but happy to join in having fun. Her appellation as a prima undine is "Seiren" (denoted as "Heavenly Voice").

Atsuko Jackosn from the anime Michiko to Hatchin. She lived in the same orphanage as Michiko, and seems to have a score to settle with her. She is now a cop and was the responsible for Michiko's arrest 12 years before the main plot. Michiko likes to call her "Jambo" (a Portuguese word for both some syzygium fruit and to refer to a dark or brown-skinned person), in order to get her angry. She seems to have mixed feelings for Michiko and is sometimes seen helping her out of a bad situation

Azul from the videogame series Final Fanatsy. Azul the Celrulean is one of Deepground's elite soldiers known as the Tsviets. He possesses massive size and incredible strength... he is so strong that he uses a tank's cannon as his weapon of choice. He is prone to firing his Gun-Arm into the air in fits of rage while roaring, particularly after the Sector 7 Slums are destroyed, and this always catches attention of everyone around him. However, Barret's rage is accompanied by a deeper, albeit rarely shown thoughtfulness. Barret later admits to Elmyra Gainsborough that he wants to be with his daughter Marlene and care for her, but at the same time he wants to fight and save the planet, the issue confusing him to the point he gives up trying to explain it.

BlackRose proved invaluable to Kite's mission, helping him in his investigation and arranging meetings with people like Helba, Wiseman, and Lios. Despite his heritage Bob is depicted as having blue eyes. He is known for his long dreads, and a muscular build (in fact he is one of the most physically strong characters in the series). Little is known about his past, except that his father was a first lieutenant of the U.S. Navy and he met up with Souichiro Nagi during his 2nd semester in his third year in elementary school and started calling themselves the knuckle bombs.[1] His girlfriend's name is Chiaki, and they seem to really love each other. Brock from the anime Pokemon.Brock is considered the most mature, wise and level-headed of the main characters, and he is arguably the most intelligent character as well. He often acts as an older brother and caretaker to the other characters and a voice of reason in disputes. He will usually place others before him and will help and support his friends even against his better judgment or at his own expense. While he is not shown to battle often, he can understand the situations and strategies in any Pokémon battle, and often explains them to the other characters, probably due to the fact that he was once a Gym Leader. Brock always carries books and maps with him, and thus is usually the character who knows where the group is headed and what they can do when they get there, though in Advanced Generation this role was mostly taken over by the PokéNav. He also carries a lot of other supplies, such as potions and cookware, as well as practical tools like a brush and pocket knife. However, her suspicious actions do not seem relevant until the Second Stage, where it is revealed that she is actually the Commander of the Taraak Intelligence, whose real name is Tenmei Uragasumi, a male spy for Taraak. However, in the end, Magno Vivian forgives "her" and retains "her" position as sub-commander, on the provision that "she "stays as BC.
